The New York Docs without Distribution Meetup Group
|
Since the democratization of video technology, there has been a dramatic spike in the creation of documentary films. There are more well-crafted documentaries, perhaps, than screens to show them. As a result, the unique voices of many talented filmmakers are silenced. The Docs Without Distribution Screening Series is a curated, monthly happening to showcase film that has just been completed or has not yet received support through mainstream distribution channels. When possible, the filmmakers will be in attendance and a discussion will follow the screening.
