NomadsLand: Films That Matter (San Francisco)
|
We are a new group devoted to screening independent feature films and documentaries about international social and political issues. NomadsLand.com is an online destination for social issue media. (http://nomadsland... ) Please visit http://movies.mee... or http://nomadsland... to find out more about our active DC group. Now, along with meetup.com it wants to build a ?virtual theater network? by starting a NomadsLand chapter in your city. This local group needs to have 200 members and then we will appoint assistant organizers to help us find a venue and plan a screening calendar. Co-organizers will be financially rewarded for maintaining the group. Help shape the planet for the better through the language of film. http://www.nomads...

"Thanks for this .. . ahh, the punk daze. Do you remember the Decline of Western Civ film? Saw it at a grand old theater, danced in the aisles while others wondered what on earth I was doing. After all, a film about music, a lifestyle shown in an alternative venue,,,,,what did they expect--me to sit quietly, watching what others did on the alternative music side of life??"
